Special Session Proposals
Prospective colleagues are
invited to submit proposals for Special Sessions at ICSGCE 4 months before the
conference dates.
Special session proposals are welcomed to be directed to the
Secretary-General, ICSGCE at icsgce_conf@126.com
For a Special Session proposal to be considered for
inclusion at ICSGCE, its proposed topic needs to be from an emerging area that
will not be covered as part of the regular sessions. The topic should be
timely and of significant importance to the technical audience, and the
speakers need to convey compelling information about the topic.
Proposals will be judged by the degree to which they will
bring together key researchers in the state-of-the-art area, introduce the
area to the larger smart grid community, further develop the area, and help to
establish a larger research community around the area.
Special session proposals covering multi-disciplinary areas
as well as of common challenges to smart grid technology are particularly
encouraged.
Special Sessions will be intermixed with regular sessions
during the conference. The number of accepted special sessions will range
between 2 and 4. Each Special Session will be 2/2.5 hours long and will
usually consist of 6/10 oral presentations.
The Organizer's role is to invite speakers, ensure the
review process with the controllable deadline, and chair the session itself. A
maximum of 3 Organizers per Special Session is allowed.
Each speaker invited to a Special Session will be required
to submit a paper, under the regular submission requirements, by the regular
submission deadline. These papers will enter the same system as regular
papers, and be subject to peer review. The Organizer will select the reviewers
and manage the review process, and in consultation with the program committee,
will make accept/reject decisions. It is possible that some invited papers may
be rejected. However, this is expected to be a rare event given that the
Organizer should have recruited only the strongest papers to the Special
Session.
The invited speakers as well as the Organizer will be
required to register for the conference. Registration fees will not be waived
and there will be no honoraria available through ICSGCE.
